![]() See Brendons post above yours and look at his #3 suggestion. It seems, in order to make this work with McAfee that I must un-install and then re-install the application everytime I want to use it. I am pretty frustrated by this and was hoping for some guidance here. It all seemed to work again until today, again I get the "Trial Version has Expired" message when trying to access the application. I un-installed EMC9, reinstalled EMC9, and in McAfee enabled both applications available, "Roxio_Central33.exe and ROXWATCHTRAY9.EXE". In reading this post, I went into my McAfee System Security "Permissions" page to be sure that Roxio was enabled and one of the two visible was not activated. The next time I went to use it, I got the "Trail Version has expired" message too. I recently purchase the EMC9 application (Nov 17, 2007) installed it and all was fine on that day. If Roxio was to fix version 9 I would probably consider purchasing your software in the future, but without that I never will, and I have a feeling there are a lot of other dissatisfied customers that feel the same way. It is not like the software is real old and never had the problem right from the start. I had this problem from the beginning and so did everyone else. Why not just swallow a little pride and fix both and have happy satisfied customers that will purchase your software in the future? I know I will never purchase your software again unless you fix my version as well as the newer version. We won’t fix version 9 because we rushed to version 10 that does the same thing!! Technically correct, but of the maybe 40 software programs I have on my computer why is it only ROXIO software quits working? Why does almost everyone else say the same thing? Just poor customer service. I’m sorry, that is basically the same answer from Roxio as I received a year ago. Our fix was basically to modify our software so that it no longer needs the keys that were being removed. Even though we are fixing the issue, the cause is really the other application. The problem is that we will only be patching the latest version, which right now, isn't version 9.Īlso, we really cant control what other applications remove from the registry. We are aware of the issue and are working toward having a fix built into EMC. I tried the first two suggestions and now need the "easy fix" or some other kind of help. Thank goodness someone else has had this problem. I do not understand how or why it come up as I paid pretty good money buying the complete version on EMC 9. I have the same problem with the trial version. I just got into this forum and have never done so in the past.so I hope this is what I am supposed to be doing. Thank! I'll report the results after I reinstall EMC. ![]() If an uninstall and reinstall will do the trick, that's a satisfactory resolution to me, although it's going to cost me some 'spare time' which I don't have a lot of. So I'm assuming that something done in that install behind the scenes screwed up EMC at this point since nothing else changed yesterday, and I burned a DVD on that computer using EMC the day before. I've been using Roxio EMC v9 since April with no problems until yesterday, which so happens to be when I installed a new version of NAV 2008. I've used Norton SystemWorks for years on that computer, and run the One Button Checkup at least once per week. ![]() Thanks, but that's a little weird, and hard for me to understand.
